The increased technological base and development has given rise to new possibilities as well as challenges. The biggest challenge that any organization and businesses faces is fraud because of new technologies and is difficult to recognize than the conventional form of this crime. Therefore, it becomes very important to develop the techniques for detecting fraud to protect the organization from such a crime. Data mining is the most effective technology that has been developed and implemented for the purpose of detecting fraud. This paper focuses on the different tools and techniques of data mining which are employed for detecting the fraud.
