Abstract: Training has become an unpredictable part of life, be it professional or personal. An employee is able to perform his duty effectively and optimally if a proper and timely training is provided to him. Therefore, the need for professionalism in respective field and system is very paramount and cannot be over emphasized. To achieve this objective, a well trained and expert manpower is required. In the sight of this fact, the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL TEACHERS TRAINING RESEARCH (NITTTR) has embarked on a number of training programs organized for the librarians and library staff of all the government as well as private colleges in India. To ensure that the aspirations of the librarians are realized, these in-service trainings are significant. This can be the basic framework upon which the Technical Education can develop the manpower needed for efficient and effective performance
