Title

Impact of Role Ambiguity and Role conflict on Job Satisfaction and Self Efficacy among Management Faculty in India

Abstract

Faculty members are considered as the central and vital ingredient of any Educational Institute. But their role is becoming challenging day by day, and they are not only involved in teaching but also, in various activities like research, non-academic activities, branding of the institute, admissions, administrative work etc. Gone were the days, were a faculty need to concentrate only in teaching. Now it is expected that a faculty need to be multi-skilled, hence a multi-tasker. It results in change in faculty roles and responsibilities. This may lead to a situation of role ambiguity and role conflict. This paper addresses the impact of role ambiguity and role conflict on self efficacy and job satisfaction of the faculty among the higher education.
