The Andaman and Nicobar islands is at the juncture of the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea , comprising 572 islands . The tribal groups of Andaman- Nicobar islands iclude : the Great Andamanese, the Jarawas, the Sentinelese, the Onges, the Shompen and the Nicobarese . They are much primitive and for livelihood they depends on huntering, gathering etc .These tribals of Andaman and Nicobar are among the most ancient people of India and they have valiantly fought against the British which is known in the history as the Battle of Aberdeen. With their primitive weapons they have fought aginst the greatest empire of all time against the exploitations they were facing . It's the responsibilty of the people living in this modern era to know more about these tribals who are existing heirs of our ancient forefathers .
