Image forensic, copy protection and medical image segmentation are a key concern in digital image communication over Internet now a day. The bulk of information exchange on the internet users is increasing in exponential way. The issues and related challenges are evenly increasing with regards to image authentication. In current days, the use of image segmentations for watermarking domain has been found to increase the performance which proves the authenticity of image. In the various study, novel characteristic of the watermarking such as super pixel based image segmentation has been studied to embed watermark and help to extract the watermark form the each segments of image. Superpixel segmentation algorithms can be very useful as a preprocessing step for computer vision applications like object class recognition and medical image segmentation etc. Based on this concept proposed work use this idea for developing secure watermarking schemes for authentication of an image.
