Title

A STUDY ON INVESTMENT PATTERN OF WOMEN IN COMPARISON WITH RURAL AND URBAN AREA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TRIVANDRUM DISTRICT

Abstract

Indian financial market has been expanding over the period and there is steady increase in household savings and it investment in the financial market. In present world women are well educated and they have enough knowledge about various investment patterns like, gold, bank, deposit, post office, chit fund, mutual funds, and shares, government securities, insurance, real estates, etc… It’s a common statement that women in urban have more knowledge related with investment and women in rural area backward. Therefore there is need to compare the investment pattern of women in urban and rural areas. The proposed study tries to find out the awareness level and investment preference of employed as well as employed women in urban and rural areas of Trivandrum Corporation.
