Abstract
ABSTRACT
Nagas the ethnic tribal who mostly lives in North-East India are unique in many ways. They have rich cultural heritage. Their day to day life is governs by minute customary laws. These laws are not written yet they are master of it. Their custom, culture and religion are base on instinct of man and practical experiences. Their sense of respect to living being and environment is amazing for they know that man relations with nature, environment and animals are vital for their sustenance. They believe that as they have harmony and good relationship with nature and environment the surrounding the flora and fauna even reveal omen. Their spiritual life is based on the moral code of conduct known as “sharra” which is amazing and even vibrant today. Thus they are able to maintain ecological balance.
