The ever rising fuel prices is a huge concern for motor vehicle owners.. In the context of Indian market, driving the vehicles with increased fuel efficiency can help the vehicle owners adapt to these fuel price variations. In this work we propose a novel approach to help drivers monitor the fuel efficiency of their vehicles and provide driver finger printing.. In this work we propose a novel approach to help drivers monitor the fuel efficiency of their vehicles and provide driver finger printing. All cars (2010 and later) contain the OBD port and it presents a valid opportunity for car manufacturers, insurance companies and users alike. Notwithstanding its advantages already outlined, this also provides analysis of fault codes from the car, for additional information and diagnosis.
