Literature encompasses various approaches to literary texts and after the advent of critical theory, texts are autotelic in nature as they cull out the unhidden nuances of literary works. Family concepts play a vital role in academia and they are creating a parallel study with the literary texts. This paper on the whole stresses the fact that the concepts of Bowen and literary texts are creating a paradigmatic shift in literature and these shifts makes the unknown as known. “Roots” are playing vibrant discourse in the academia and this can be highly associated with Bowen’s mechanism. The literary texts are of various manifolds and they erase the line between “Personal” and “Political”.
