Molluscs are the second largest phylum among the marine life and are found to be promising candidates for drug discovery and development.Several anti-cancer agents are unearthed from cephalopods, bivalves as well as gastropods.In present investigation the alcoholic extract of foot region of PILA GLOBOSA was used to study its effect on angiogenesis using chorioallantioc membrane (CAM). The extract of foot region of PILA GLOBOSA was tested by administration of 48, 72 and 96 hrs.of incubation of chick embryo. The morphometric and histological analysis indicates that these results indicated inhibition, elongation and proliferation of both secondary and tertiary vessels.
