Water is very important for essential needs as food, drinking, sanitation and domestic use. Ground water contaminated with bacteria, chemicals, oils or gases etc. cause many types of diseases in human. The quality of water plays an important role in human life. The present work collects water samples from different regions of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India. Laboratory analysis is performed for physico chemical properties of ground water. In this paper, water quality is described using Water quality index values, whether they are suitable for drinking purpose and category of classification for the regions are mentioned for the Study area.
