Title

A GREY-TLBO BASED HYBRID APPROACH FOR PARAMETRIC APPRAISAL IN END MILLING OF AL-7075 T6

Abstract

The present work suggests an extended multi-objective optimization philosophy applied during CNC End Milling of Al-7075 T6. Design of Experiment (DOE) has been chosen based on Taguchi’s L16 orthogonal array design with varying machining variables like spindle speed, feed rate, axial depth of cut, and diameter of the tool. Surface roughness of the machined part along with Material Removal Rate (MRR) of the machining process have been optimized simultaneously. A Grey relation analysis (GRA) integrated with Teaching learning based optimization (TLBO) has been proposed for obtaining the optimum machining condition.
