: Internet of Things (IOT) is the most prominent and popular term used now a days. IOT have many applications and in almost every field. IOT is transforming the life of everyone by providing new ways to do thing in easiest and most efficient manner. It has many applications out of which one of the prominent areas is agriculture. The requirement for food grains is increasing with rapid rate due to exploding world population, at present the world population is approx. 7.7 Billion which is going to be approx. 9.7 Billion by 2050.The land for cultivation is decreasing with decreasing productivity. Therefore, to feed such large population we need technology as a tool . IOT is a technology which will help us in overcoming such situation. In this paper we will discuss various applications of IOT in agriculture which will help us in shaping our present and future in the field of agriculture.
