A micro grid (MG) is a small grid that uses a combination of generation of power, load and storage devices to serve local customers. Micro grid is a most recent idea for energy distribution network that enables renewable energy co-ordination. Micro grid systems are depend on distributed energy resources (DERs) for eg. photovoltaic cells, wind, biomass and diesel generator etc. MG can work both in islanded mode and in grid connected mode. It has diminished the dependence on utility grid and empowers the customer to wind up a piece of power system. In this paper discuss about different methods of optimal scheduling of micro grid. Objective is the optimal load scheduling in the most economical way.
