Abstract

Abstract: Financial inclusion is where individuals and businesses have access to useful and affordable financial products and services that meet their needs that are delivered in as the availability and equality of opportunities to access financial services. Financial inclusion is the main mission of the post office now a days..India has the largest network of postal offices. Traditionally, Post offices have acted as an important channel for small household savings. In April 1959, the Indian postal department adopted the motto “service before help”.The post office provides postal as well as non –postal services. The slogan of Indian post is “Pak Seva Jan Seva”. Over the time, post office role has been grown to provide the best investment avenue options to the investors with a very nominal amount on opening account. It plays a very significant role in developing economy. Financial inclusion has been the key element of developing society and socio-economic development. With over a billion people using the postal sector for savings and deposit accounts and a widespread presence in rural and poor areas, post offices can play a leading role in advancing financial inclusion. This paper is attempted to study the the intensity of financial inclusion through post office savings bank among teachers and to get information about the popularity of post office savings bank.
