Title

AUTOMATIC GAS CYLINDER BOOKING WITH PROTECTION SYSTEM

Abstract

LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinder is used in different sectors like in homes, industries, and in automobiles as fuel due to its desirable properties which includes high calorific value, produces very less smoke and does not cause much harm to environment. It is difficult to monitor gas cylinder continuously. Gas leakage can cause many accidents which may lead to loss of life(54 people die every day)[1]. This model is designed to observe liquefied petroleum gas leakage to avoid major fire accidents and also facilitating safety precaution to avoid such harm. This hardware can be used where security has been an important issue. Sometimes consumer do not get the cylinder supply on time because there is a delay in informing the gas agency. So this system also have the feature of automatic cylinder booking without human intervention when there is less gas left in the cylinder. it look after the level of gas in cylinder with the help of load cells and when the gas is lower than the preset value of load, it sends SMS for booking through GSM module. This project system is based on ATMega16 microcontroller, it contains MQ6 gas sensor. In case of gas leakage this sensor will sense the leakage and will alert the user by buzzer and also with a SMS not only this controller will send the command to turn OFF the regulator valve with the help of Servo Motor and also turn On the exhaust fan. The provision of changing the cell phone number is also provided in this project.
