Title

Cloud Computing Techniques for Cheminformatics

Abstract

Cheminformatics is the application of Computer Science and Information technology to the problems in Chemical Sciences. It mainly involves design, creation, organization, management, retrieval, analysis, dissemination, visualization and use of chemical information. Any application of chemical sciences usually has to handle vast amount of chemical data. This data comprises of various characteristics such as large size, complexity and is originated from diverse resources. Hence there is a need for integration and storage of chemical data in order to facilitate easy access. This can be achieved using cloud computing technologies that will make the process of query and retrieval highly scalable, totally reliable, and more elastic.
