Abstract
The early childhood period, spanning from pre-natal to 8 years, is the most critical and sensitive period in the life span of an individual as it coincides with phenomenal brain development. Children’s exposure to quality experience in the early years of life is critical to their development and learning outcomes. In this process, early educators and caregivers play pivotal roles in determining the quality of experiences and the trajectory of developmental outcomes. Therefore, investment in the professional development of early educators and caregivers is central to realizing quality experiences and development outcomes of children.
