Abstract
The ants are the insect living in social organization. Ants are found in most of the habitat of the globe. They are doing very important services for the ecosystem. The study of the ants’ diversity of a particular habitat is an important tool to do the ecological assessment. In this study ant diversity is studied by visiting different habitat in and around Karjat city from June 2018 to February 2019. 11 species were recorded belonging to subfamily Myrmicinae, Formicinae, Pseudomyrmecinae and Dolichoderinae.
