Self Help Groups are small structured groups for the accomplishment of special purposes. These play major roles in country but main focus is on poverty alleviation and women empowerment in rural India. The present study is for the factor analysis of Self Help Groups. It includes the four northern states of India i.e., Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan for the factor analysis. This paper contains the comparative analysis of twenty five social and economic factors. This analysis also emphasis the effect of these factors on four northern states on the basis of two parameters i.e., Cumulative and Variance parameters. Then the results are shown in the tabular and graphical forms.
