Nowadays, the issue related to rights of the women under Muslim law is highly controversial. The holy prophet (SAW) declared that among all the things which have been permitted under law, divorce is the worst. Divorce considered as an evil that should be avoided as much as possible. This paper focus on triple talaq which is controversial issue in present time. The practice of triple talaq which gives Muslim men an absolute right to give irrevocable talaq depriving women of all the protection results in severe blow to fundamental rights. Triple talaq or talaq-ul-biddat is a form of marriage dissolution in Muslim law, where husband can divorce his wife by pronouncing talaq three times in one time. In this paper an attempt will be made to present different views of some jurists regarding the legal effect of divorces. The article will also explain what personal law is and how the holy Quran and the constitution deal with the issue of triple talaq. It also attempts to analyze the ongoing debate on implication of the Bill on triple talaq in India and try to provide some suggestions on this burning issue.
