In India, there has been an alarming condition of mass unemployment in the country specially among the educated youth of the population. There has been a situation in which many educated people are knocking at the gates of organisation for any position available even it doesn’t suitable as per the education level of the candidate because they are unable to find the suitable one. Gap is being encountered between the theoretical and practical knowledge. Industry expects basic knowledge as well as the practical implications of the same in the working area which is not being offered leads to not market ready skill set of labour. The objective of the study is to determine the trend and pattern of educated unemployment and to determine the causes of educated unemployment. Data used in the research paper is secondary data i.e from world bank data and other secondary data collected through the research which is already done in the past.
