Title

FARMERS’ INDEBTEDNESS IN INDIA: A STUDY OF KURUKSHETRA DISTRICT

Abstract

Several initiative have been taken up the Government of India for the upliftment of farmers t but still the disease of farmers’ indebtness is prevailing in Indian economy. From this article attempt has been made by the authors to explore the farmer’s differential utilization pattern of farm credit and the problems encountered by the farmers in borrowing and repayment of farm credit. Along with this attempt have also been made to present the borrowers’ socio-psychological factors affecting disbursement and repayment of farm credit and suggestions to overcome from this problem.
