Disability is an impairment that may be cognitive, developmental, intellectual, mental, physical, sensory or some combination of these, and that substantially affects a person’s life activities. The present paper aims at highlighting the effectiveness of positive thinking in promotion and management of psychological well being of disable person. Psychological well being of disable person can be enhanced, developed and controlled through positive thinking. Thinking positively is no easy matter but it is important to be enthusiastic about life again. Positive thinking promotes all the positive indicators of psychological well being and reduces negative indicators of disability. Having positive thinking may promote recovery from disability by limiting the cardiovascular response to stress, improving physical balance, enhancing self efficacy, and increasing engagement in healthy behavior. A study by M. Rostami et al. (2014) showed that positive thinking had meaningful and positive effect in increasing happiness of hearing impaired adolescents.
