Characterization of traffic for mixed conditions in cities is more important to know the level of service. Infrastructure planning to promote for higher capacity of utilization and risk free traffic mobility requires certain analysis to know impact and influence of each characteristic on level of service. computer vision based traffic data is collected and processed. Traffic characteristics in reference to speed, headway, volume slow moving and fast moving composition and their characteristics for each functionality is assessed.by using integration and differential equation. Reasons for poor performance of each road is analyzed. Alternative way of enhancing capacity is visualized lane discipline, traffic split, elevated highways, alternative lines for slow moving diversions are studied. Outcome of this study is useful for characterizing traffic, analyzing traffic and gives a way out for effective utilization of infrastructure.
