Designing a Multifunction Meter for analysis and measurement of various parameters of 3-phase inductive load.
Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to study and implement an advanced three phase Multifunction meter using PIC Controller. In this paper, an advanced way is recommended for implementation of energy meter with accurate results. The main reason of selecting PIC microcontroller is its accuracy, cost efficiency and simple programming. It measures voltage and current of three phase load and display parameters like RMS voltage, RMS current, Power Factor, Apparent power, Active power and Reactive power on LCD display. Multifunction meter gives required data of power consumption more easily than old-style energy meters.
