Title

BIOSYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF ZINC OXIDE NANOPARTICLES USING CITRULLUS LANATUS FRUIT RIND EXTRACT

Abstract

Plants contain nanoparticles. Present study is focused on synthezing of nanoparticle from watermelon (citrullus lanatus). The plant part used in this study is watermelon peel (citrullus lanatus). The watermelon peel allowed to under the sun. It was dried and made powder from its aqueous extract was prepared. Nanoparticles was prepared by green synthesis method. This nanoparticle was Characterized by UV- Spectroscopy, FTIR, SEM analysis. This nanoparticles has got antibacterial activity against Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, proteus and Salmonella typhi so, this study concludes that watermelon and the antibacterial activity property its confirm.
