Title

Optimization of Design Parameters of Integrated Stirling Cryocooler for Temperature Range of 80K

Abstract

Large number of infrared detectors used for space application in infrared cameras. A reliable integrated stirling cryocooler is one of the basic and foremost requirements for successful operation of high performance cooling for those detectors. A prototype was designed using schmidt’s analysis and modeled. The aim of the work is to improve performance of integrated stirling cryocooler in temperature range of 80 K. The brief theoretical study and issue regarding to design of stirling cryocooler is discussed in sufficient detail. A prototype modelling and simulation has been carried out in using SAGE 11.0, simulation software for cryocooler. The effects of design parameters and regenerator on the performance of cryocooler investigated. The obtained results are compared with the results of open literature.
