In workshop, for mass production there is a need to cut the raw material into number of pieces and this can be performed conventionally on a power hacksaw or simple hacksaw machine. In this project, an effort has been put to fabricate a modernized four-way hacksaw machine, which performs less stressful operations for cutting wood, metal and plastic materials. A four-way hacksaw machine is developed keeping in mind the basic necessity in production field, less operational reduction and less human effort. This is capable of cutting four work pieces at a same time. This uses a scotch yoke mechanism to give the reciprocating motion to the hacksaw frames. In this, the cutting stroke to all the frames are in equal and also, we are using two yokes in number to guide the frames by inserting a pin into yokes. It is driven by an electric motor of high rpm to give the rotation to the eccentric disc.The work pieces are placed in bench vises which are placed beside the frames.
