Highways has always been a challenge for traffic engineers. Some methods have been tried to detect the accident prone spots with high rate of accidents in order to reduce the accidents. Now-a-days in today’s world, road and transport has become a most important part of each and every human being. The location in a road where highest number of traffic accidents occurs is called an accident prone spots. The present research attempts to identify the most endangered accident prone spots and use them in an android application for users to identify and travel safely using Global Positioning System and Geo-Fencing. To improve the Road safety, it is important to identify the accident prone spots on the road. The achievement of the development of road safety programs depends on the reliable and perfect analysis of the accident data.
