Title

Role of Socio Economic Condition in the Female Education in Rural Areas: A Case Study of Village Bhaini Badshah Pur, Hisar (Haryana)

Abstract

In modern era, education plays a significant role in the socio- economic development of any society. Education have the power of It has the power of transformation among human from negligence to illumination, From social backwardness to from shades of social backwardness to amelioration and a country from underprivileged to developed economy. UNESCEO conference recognized literacy as a powerful instrument in social as well economic development. In India`s villages due to the socio economic conditions, level of females literacy rates is low .Thus this study was conducted to analysis the actual situation of female literacy in a sample village in Hisar district in Haryana. A sample of 150 households was selected from village in a systematic manner of every fourth household and data was collected from head members of female by interview method. From this study it was found that level of income, level of parents education, occupation of the family, household assets, size of family are the main factors that are associated with female education. From this study it is found that 90% of respondents had a positive attitude for sending their male children for education while 72% were in favorable for sending their daughters also. From this study it is also found that there is a close relationship between the level of income and level of education among families and the maximum level of education that their girl child has attained. In briefly we can say that there was a close association between the income and education of the respondent families, and the highest level of education that their daughters had attained.
