A novel series of six chiral Schiff base complexes of Copper(II) were synthesized in good yields by involving six different Schiff bases as intermediate. The synthetic route leading to the title compounds is commenced from commercially available ortho-phthalaldehyde and ortho-aminobenzaldehyde. The chemical structures of the newly synthesized complexes were elucidated by their IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass and ESR spectral data and elemental analysis. Further, all the target complex compounds have been used to estimate their antimicrobial activity against different microorganisms.
