ACADEMIC STRESS IN RELATION TO MENTAL HEALTH AMONG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract
In order to understand the academic stress in relation to mental health among high school students. Total numbers of 600 was selected from these eight schools in Cuddalore District and they were selected using simple random sampling. Academic stress scale devised by Kohn & Frazer (1986) and Mental health scale – constructed and standardized by Kalesh Sharma (2002).Statistical techniques namely descriptive and differential analysis were used. Results shows that there is significant relationship found between Self-esteem and emotional maturity.
