X-Ray crystallography is probably the most advantaged method for protein and macromolecular biological structure determination. Many involved in all biological divisions increasingly need systemic knowledge to clarify previously unresolved issues. Moreover, it can be more detailed in future studies to concentrate on the availability of a protein structure. The extending of technology to structures like viruses, immune complexes and protein-nucleic acid complexes further helps to broaden crystallography's appeal. A pharmaceutical structural architecture, site-driven mutagenesis, clarifying the enzyme pathways, and details of interactions with protein ligands are just some of the areas of clarification offered by x-ray crystallography.
