The IQAC played a very important role in quality education in any institution. The work of the IQAC is not only the internalization and institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives but also govern the execution. The IQAC should continuously perform the task of management and monitoring the quality of education at HEI. A regular introspection on the basis of direct and indirect feedback should also be done by IQAC for itself. Thus efficient coordination and effective monitoring mechanism of IQAC can enhance quality in higher education institutions. This paper describes the establishment, working, duties, responsibilities of IQAC in any institution and a simple case study have also been reported in order to explain the need and role of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in improving quality education in higher education institutions.
