Abstract
Drawing process is used in manufacturing thin-wall tubes, while reducing progressively their wall thickness and their inner and outer diameters. In this paper a material – SAE 1541-730o C Annealed is studied with one drawing process, with fixed taper -plug. This study gets into issues of load required to draw the steel tube by numerical convergence by upper bound methodology and find residual stress. In a first approach, empirical simulation method is used, applied the data and the obtain result. And to find the load required drawing a tube by numerical analysis and comparing with ANSYS model. And residual stress found by FEA method.
