Effect of Interest Rate on Indian Stock Market

Abstract
The present research paper aims to examine the effect of interest rates on Indian Stock Market. In order to accomplish the objective of this research work secondary data were collected and analysed regarding interest rates, Nifty-50 and Nifty MidCap-100 indices. The analyses were run by applying correlation analysis and regression analysis. The result of this study indicates a negative relationship between interest rates and Indian Stock Market Indices Nifty-50 and Nifty midcap-100. It was also found that there was no significant effect of interest rates on Indian Stock Market Indices Nifty-50 and Nifty midcap-100
