In this study, an attempt is made to thoroughly review the impact of Non- Performing Assets on Indian banking sector. There is a tremendous growth in Non –Performing Assets in Indian banks, it effected on Indian banking system and Indian Economy, it is the indication for permanent fall in banking growth in India, Till Indian citizens and bank account holder has confidence on Indian Banking System, Indian citizens having Confidence on RBI for secured Public deposits in Indian banks, but our banking system fundamentally very strong, common public having confidence on banks, public was thinking banks are the Secured place for their deposits and future savings for their future life security, till common public that is literate or illiterate believes in the Indian banking system, but in India Increasing in Non-performing assets(NPAs) that is Increasing in defaulters are major threats for Indian banking sector.
