Title

GENETIC ALGORITHM FOR WORD SENSE DISAMBIGUATION FOR GUJARATI: ANALYZING KEY COMPONENTS AND METHODOLOGY

Abstract

Word Sense Disambiguation remains one of the difficult challenges in natural language processing. The dependency of word meanings on the context in which they are used and the nature of human languages makes it an AI-complete problem. This article explores the essential components of a Genetic algorithm for solving Word Sense Disambiguation in the Gujarati language. It includes the solution representation of the chromosome, population, parent selection, fitness function, crossover, and mutation operators. The paper also discusses resources available for the Gujarati language and various evaluation metrics of performance evaluation.
