Women play a predominant role in making family and financial decisions. Most of the women consider the financial aspects to be savings rather than investing and prefer investing in gold, deposits etc which they feel to be less risky and provide good return. At present this attitude towards investments has changed completely. They are educated and they have good knowledge on the various investments avenues. They are at the verge of establishing their financial freedom and try out other avenues that could appreciate their assets, create wealth, retirement planning, children education, marriage and other commitments. This study is an attempt to know about the various investment behavior of women especially in mutual funds and life insurance policies in the Thrissur district, Kerala.
