Cloud computing denotes an architectural reposition toward thin clients and conveniently centralized provision of computing resources. Client’s lack of direct resource control in the cloud prompts concern about the potential for data privacy violations, especially leaking of sensitive data. Each cloud service will exchange data with other cloud, so when the data is exchanged between the clouds, there exist the problem of vulnerability of privacy. Hence the privacy problem about individual or company is inevitably exposed when releasing or sharing data in the cloud service. There are some privacy problems that are need to be addressed in the cloud computing. The first problem is the disclosure of sensitive private information when exchanging data through the cloud service. The second problem is that people getting inappropriate or unauthorized access to personal data in the cloud by taking advantage of lack of access control enforcement and security holes. Cryptography takes here a better place in preserving the privacy. In this paper, the privacy of user’s data of personal health record is preserved using cloud computing which uses paillier to encrypt and decrypt the data. The individuals need not rely on their personal computer. The medical data documents can be easily and safely stored in the cloud itself. The proposed work shows that it is capable of giving better accuracy in comparison with other encryption mechanisms.
