Stress has been defined in different ways over the years. Richard Carlson says that “Stress is nothing more than a socially acceptable form of mental illness”. Stress levels are rising among employed Indians owning to growing uncertainty in jobs in highly disruptive environment as well as increasing anxiety in personal lives. A comparative study has done on “Workplace Stress Level among Doctors and Police Professionals in Mysore City”. Researcher has adopted the descriptive and exploratory research design for the study. The universe of the study is Mysore City. Convenient sampling method was opted to collect data through questionnaires; Socio demographic and the Workplace Stress Scale were the tools for the data collection. Data analysis done through Microsoft Excel and results were discussed.
