Ever since the enhancement of Technology, data has been growing every day. One prominent factor that gave rise to Big data is Social media. Data from these social media sites can be used for many purposes like prediction, analysis, marketing, business etc. Among these social media sites is Twitter, which is prominent and widely used. Traditional systems and tools like R-DBMS etc. do not have the capacity to handle enormous data which is mainly un structured. Hence there is a need to handle Big data and this is solved by Hadoop, a java-based framework for distributed storage & processing of large datasets on commodity hardware. In this paper we propose a method to perform analysis of tweets using Big data tools such as Hadoop, flume, hive Hue etc
