Abstract : The proliferation of social networking services has brought about a quick development of their user base, spanning over the world. The real-time nature of the information delivered by users has incited researchers to examine this substance, with the end goal to increase timely knowledge into the current situation. In particular, the micro blogging service Twitter has been an ongoing focus of researchers to assemble information on events happening in real time. Twitter, as a social networking service and micro blogging service, has gained great success in recent years. This article shows a survey of a wide assortment of event detection strategies connected to stream Twitter data, ordering them as per shared common traits, and after that examines distinctive parts of the subtasks and difficulties engaged with event detection. Emerging trend analysis from tweets is an important task to understand the current events/topics attracting a large number of common users.
