The aim of the study is to comparison effects of Jatropha Methyl Ester and diesel fuel in diesel engine with and without ceramic coated piston. In this experiment bio fuel made by Jatropha oil and Methanol with Transesterification process. In this study influences of both Jatropha Methyl Ester and Diesel fuel on combustion and performance characteristics of a single-cylinder diesel engine was investigated at different loads. The present investigation evaluates the C.I. engine adapted along with and without Ceramic Coated Pistons and piston is coated by Yittria Stabilized Zirconia material. To study the performance and emission parameter. In this study, Comparison of Jatropha Methyl Ester fuel with Diesel fuel on both case (with and without coating piston). From this study the emissions reduced and found Alcohols blended with Vegetable oils are suitable substitute fuels to diesel.
