In recent years, the travel pattern of university students is gaining more attention. The minimum age at which one can obtain driving license is 18; however, the college/ university students with age of 18 and above can have driving license, opening up more options for mode choice. They can travel by their own private vehicle, by Intermediate Public Transport or by Public Transport vehicle. Moreover, authority has declared concession and monthly/term pass scheme for students, which is economically well accepted by students. They can use any of the transport system as per type of day, type of activity and its importance. They can have different mode choice for trip towards college and towards home from college. In India, Jitney (Chakadaa) system is also popular as sharing rickshaw mode of travel. The travel pattern of university or college students is different from general population. The trip frequency is regular as the purpose of trip is education. The trip length is definite and route is also defined and definite. Travel time is predictable as the trip making time is same as per schedule of college. Travel time and travel cost is affected by mode of travel. Mode choice by employee of college is affected by socio economic factors and mainly by income.
