Abstract: India is a nation with the asset of multiculturalism. A wide variety of cultures add colour to its richness. A wide variety of communities co - exist in harmony in this nation. Many of them have there roots in India itself and many of them have been migrated from other nations and settled here. This paper traces the history, tradition, heredity and culture of one such migrated community known as the Knanaya community. How the Knanaya community incorporated the diverse culture in India without losing its identity is also discussed. It also tries to analyse the contributions that the Knanaya migration has made in the host country India.
