The effect of soil structure interaction on a ten storey four bay frame resting on pile foundation and embedded in loose sandy soil is examined in this paper. For the purpose of analysis simplified idealisation made in the theory of finite element are used. A ten storeyed reinforced concrete building resting on plie foundation is analysed for four different types of soils as per IS1893:2016 with the foundation as fixed and foundation as flexible incorporating soil structure interaction effects as per FEMA 356 and FEMA 440.The results depicting the displacement, base shear, overturning moment etc. are presented in the form of charts.
