Innovations In Teacher Education * Mrs. Suman Gupta Abstract Teacher education system is an important vehicle to improve the quality of school education. The revitalization and strengthening of the teacher education system is a powerful means for the upliftment of educational standards in the country. There are many issues that need urgent attention for improving the quality of teacher education programme. e.g: Integration of technology into teaching and learning, Demonstrate good command of the subject matter and the ability to teach a diverse student population, Provide open and responsive learning environments, and Using new innovative methods of teaching such as ,web-based development and delivering of the course materials, electronic presentations, Blended classrooms, Virtual laboratories, Free learning courses, Practice PBL (project-based learning) and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Within Community Partnerships, Engage in Purposeful Play, Provide Opportunities for Student-Centered Constructionism, delivering and submission of tests, quizzes, assignments, examination papers and surveys etc. . * Assistant Professor, MIER College Of Education.
