This article suggests that socio-economic exclusion and disadvantages of young girls is developed with a revolutionary prism. Identifying social and economic programme elements could help build a package of interventions for "transformative social protection" for girls in developing countries. The article explores an indicative collection of social security elements that could turn teenage girls' social protection lens by engaging in their long-term human capital accumulation and social inclusion. An initiative by West Bengal Govt. "Kanyashree" scheme is one step forward towards the empowerment of girls. In this article, the impact of "Kanyashree" to society is studied.
